This work took twenty-five years to look obvious

I wasn't looking for just a method. I was looking for what really worked.

Roughly twenty-five years ago I began chasing the same question through gymnastics, strength work, yoga, martial arts, rehabilitation, dance, and every system that claimed to understand the body. I wanted a movement system that landed the plane. One that gave me the foundation of movement. Some parts I found worked. Most didn't. Not the way I wanted it to. The parts that kept working seemed to have one thing in common though: rotation, spiral loading, and the ability to change direction under control.

I was a fitness trainer. And due to this burning question I simply refused to workout  (which was a strange thing for a trainer to do). I stopped all together and thought and observed. Then one day in 2001 someone whispered "spirals". They did it innocently and with little meaning, but it caused an explosion to go off in my head. I began to brainstorm and do thought experiments... and then created Spiral Kinetics® from theory alone. And then I noticed it everywhere. I noticed that the people who moved well — really well, for a long time — were not the ones with the biggest muscles or the most credentials. They were the ones who could organize force in coiled curves, who could fall and recover, who could generate power from awkward positions without negotiation. And I noticed what was missing from everyone's training routine. 

I'm Lyric Ginsberg and Spiral Kinetics® is the system I built for elite training. To remove the need for chiropractic, physical therapy, and massage (though you may want to use these anyway). Not as a style. As a complete body language... that frees the body as well as the mind.
